Pls don't just argue about what exact meaning of 'test' it is for in
Chinese, but you should know that in different language circumstances it
could be translated in different ways. And test is not only a noun but
also
a verb.
So both translations for "测试" and "试验" in special
language circumstances
are right. So pls, Charlotte should give the whole sentence to us that
we
can give the right translation but not using taking a vote to decide the
real meaning. Above was my opinion and tks any of your review.

各位好:
有事需要请大家帮忙。
工作组在翻译标准时关于test一词的翻译有分歧,集中表现为两种意见。
翻译为试验:理由是:
陈培良:查GB/T 20000.1—2002《标准化工作指南 第1部分:标准化和相关活动的通
用词汇》的2.13.1 test 为“试验”,2.13.1 testing 为“测试”,2.13.2
test
method 为“试验方法”。因此,不赞成将test译为“测试”。
GB/T 20000.1—2002《标准化工作指南 第1部分:标准化和相关活动的通用词汇》是
修改采用ISO/IEC指南2:1996《标准化和相关活动的通用词汇》(ISO/IEC
Guide2:1996,
Standardization and related activities - General vocabulary, MOD)的。本部分
