We are investigating using SAC 305 HASL finish on through hole and SMT boards. Deisgns include BGAs (50 mil pitch, 24 mil dia pad), 0402's, and gull wing parts with 0.016" x 0.070" pads on 15 mil pitch. Is anyone aware of an industry standard for HASL thickness? I've seen specifications for the HASL thickess ranging from 0.0005" -0.003".
