Our customer's recommendation is control between 40 to 60%RH, 23 +/-5deg. Thanks and Best Regards, Cliff Zheng Wisdom EPZ Tel:010-80487211-1015 Fax:010-80487216 From: TGAsia [mailto:[log in to unmask]] On Behalf Of Santoso, Suprapto Sent: Monday, March 26, 2007 2:32 PM To: [log in to unmask] Subject: [TGA] Storage requirement for moisture sensitive components All, Does anybody know what the requirements for moisture sensitive component storage are? Does IPC/JEDEC J-STD-033 explain how the storage environment should be? How about controlling the temp from 18C-30C and humidity from 30%-70% RH? Are they adequate? If we cannot make sure the humidity is lower than 70% all the time, will applying vacuum packaging solve the issue as you know the humidity will affect solderability and insulation resistance. Any comment will be appreciated. Thanks. SUPRAPTO SANTOSO Quality Assurance Manager - China Division SPECTRUM CONTROL ELECTRONICS (DONG GUAN) CO. LTD.
