Hi Ingemar, I did not say anything about fluxes—not my area of expertise. I do not know what you mean by "insufficient top temperature", but insufficient peak reflow temperature is predominant of the problems that I see [I do see some "Black Pad" and similar brittle failure issues, as well but much less so lately]. I cannot speak to the statistics on an industry basis—no data, but from the quality issues I see at my clients, that is about right. Of course, all the statistics get really shaken up with the LF-stupidity mixed in.
