Sayed, I don't know if there is a representative near your region, but If I were you, I would try german machines made by Hesse&Knipps. These machines have typical german quality, are simple and, what I have heard, have good service, which is very important. We have both US machines and German machines, and I must say, there is a difference. I don't say american machines are bad, just that the german machines have kind of 'swiss' clock look. There are japanese machines too, like NEC Machinery's ones, but you may plobably get fast delively ploblems. http://bonder.hesse-knipps.com/bonder-dispenser/de/products/automatic-ultrasonic-thin-wire-bonder/automatic-ultrasonic-thin-wire-bonder-bj715bj815/ Good Luck Inge PS. Steve, I've had little time for TN last weeks, I'm concentrated on the Palomar autobonder. Thanks to Scott I got inspiration, and I've now checked all machine hardware, every part! Power supplies, cables, connectors, encoders, solenoids, security system, air cusions, servos...hundreds of parts. All these were OK. I think that the XY table is the most powerful one in the world for die bonders! If your head happens to be in the way when the table moves at highest speed, you'll wake up later in a hospital.. So..the problem is in the Palomar's processor, which I'm analysing by means of waveform generator, puls generator, digi scopes and ordinary flukes. The failure seems to be the 50 MHz clock oscillator and event watchdog packages. Took time to be familiar with nearly 50 electrical diagrams! If I'm lucky, I'll have the machine working in a week or two. Conclusion: Thanks to TN, I got a positive push. ----- Original Message ----- From: "Syed Ahmad" <[log in to unmask]> To: <[log in to unmask]> Sent: Thursday, November 30, 2006 11:08 PM Subject: [TN] Die Bonder Recommendation > Would someone have a recommendation for a manual or semiauto die bonder? > Thanks. > Syed. > > Syed Sajid Ahmad > Center for Nanoscale Science and Engineering > North Dakota State University Fargo ND > 701 231 5880 > > --------------------------------------------------- > Technet Mail List provided as a service by IPC using LISTSERV 1.8e > To unsubscribe, send a message to [log in to unmask] with following text in > the BODY (NOT the subject field): SIGNOFF Technet > To temporarily halt or (re-start) delivery of Technet send e-mail to > [log in to unmask]: SET Technet NOMAIL or (MAIL) > To receive ONE mailing per day of all the posts: send e-mail to > [log in to unmask]: SET Technet Digest > Search the archives of previous posts at: http://listserv.ipc.org/archives > Please visit IPC web site http://www.ipc.org/contentpage.asp?Pageid=4.3.16 > for additional information, or contact Keach Sasamori at [log in to unmask] or > 847-615-7100 ext.2815 > ----------------------------------------------------- --------------------------------------------------- Technet Mail List provided as a service by IPC using LISTSERV 1.8e To unsubscribe, send a message to [log in to unmask] with following text in the BODY (NOT the subject field): SIGNOFF Technet To temporarily halt or (re-start) delivery of Technet send e-mail to [log in to unmask]: SET Technet NOMAIL or (MAIL) To receive ONE mailing per day of all the posts: send e-mail to [log in to unmask]: SET Technet Digest Search the archives of previous posts at: http://listserv.ipc.org/archives Please visit IPC web site http://www.ipc.org/contentpage.asp?Pageid=4.3.16 for additional information, or contact Keach Sasamori at [log in to unmask] or 847-615-7100 ext.2815 -----------------------------------------------------
