Phil,

Look in IPC 4101.

Also, if you type "pcb laminate thickness" into an internet search engine
(i.e. Yahoo) it will link you to sites that have this information free.

A word of caution, by specifying "finished" laminate thickness you may be
limiting the flexibility of the fabricator and most likely increase the cost
of the product.

I would suggest you get feedback from your main suppliers of pcb fabs before
you implement this type change.

Subject: [TN] laminate thickness - new replacement chart for old D-275 Table
3-5

In IPC-D-275 there was a chart (Table 3-5) which defined "IPC Standard
Laminate Number" in steps L1-L16.

Has that been replaced by a newer document? If so, can you point me to
it please?

We are attempting to specify the finished laminate thickness, without
the copper factored into the measurement.

Thanks in advance,

Phil
