I was wondering if anyone has found a unique way to reduce the amount of component loss due to the setups and tear downs of SMT feeders. Our feeders peel the cover tape back about 2-3 inches leaving several parts exposed and when the reel is removed from the feeder we typically lose the parts that are no longer covered unless the operator is extremely careful. I have had the cover tape "taped" back down in the past but it really increases the amount of time it takes to load the feeder the next time due to having to remove the tape. I know there are feeders from other companies that have less loss due to the feeder design but there are a lot of us that have this problem I'm sure. Just curious how others handle this.
