How big is your Word-file? I've found that large Word files (3Meg and larger) will have the images move around and you'll get the same output to pdf. The pdf file size will closely reflect the Word document size. If you 'copy - paste' those images into Word, your file size is 10x larger than it need be. By creating a jpg or gif file of every picture, including graphics originally drawn in Word, and then using 'Insert - Picture - From File...', your Word document will be 1/10th the current size. Not only will this make the final pdf easier to handle due to the smaller size, your pictures are more likely to stay put. The final file size will be the sum of the picture file sizes plus a basic word doc size. (Don't ask me why this works, but it's easy enough to prove to yourself...) -Ryan Grant -----Original Message----- From: TechNet [mailto:[log in to unmask]] On Behalf Of Werner Engelmaier Sent: Thursday, June 08, 2006 3:20 PM To: [log in to unmask] Subject: [TN] Adobe Acrobat Gurus Hi, I am changing a Word-file into a pdf--Acrobat insists on changing one of my 'grouped' images [it misaligns parts of it]. Any idea why and how to work around this?
