Good morning colleagues, This is a question of robustness. I have 3 and 4 pin connectors with 0.045" square pins that are on 0.156" centers. I have a choice between SMT and PTH versions. I see the SMT connectors more manufacturing friendly, but I'm concerned I will meet resistance in using these as there is the belief that they will not withstand handling shock in the finished product, a shoe box sized device that is shipped via UPS, DHL or FedEx. What sage wisdom do you have to share?
