Ioan, I've had that problem on a large 16" x 17" circuit board using 1825 ceramic capacitors. The only successful detection method was visual inspection followed by a capacitance test. This test assumes that there isn't something in the circuit preventing the measurement as we did with two diodes and a capacitor.
