We're actually in Texas. You mention bare boards are non-controlled goods, where is this stated in ITAR regulations? Paperwork takes about a day to do if you are dealing with a non-controlled good which most bare PWB's are for the U.S. defense industry. If you want to call me off line feel free to do so. Good luck. Flowing the ITAR requirements to PCB is not sensible and it can be handled by a supplier control/audit program by the OEM. The OEM's who do not with the take on the supplier control roles will impose ITAR as a flow down. Fight it. We have export control procedures and methods implemented, they communicated we needed to be registered also. We provide bare printed wiring boards. To other board shops, are any of you registered? For purchasers of bare printed wiring boards, do you require suppliers to be registered? If so, which section of the regulation outlines this requirement?
