Hi Karen, You do notsay whether the rolled Cu foil you are using in fully or partially annealed. Without annealing, the Cu grains are needle-like in the rolling direction producing very high ductility values and thus good bending characteristics in that direction. With annealing, the grains are almost equiaxed and have essentially the same ductility [much higher in the XM-direction, lower in the M-direction] in all directions.
