Hi Kevin, Don't know how much help this is but Ramon pretty much nailed it. The material is a mixed bed resin that is a non-regeneration type. It is special so that it does not strip the alcohol. It is more expensive than a normal resin bed because it can't be regenerated. It must be thrown away and a new batch put in. That's about all I know on the subject! Can anyone tell me what is in the cartridges of the ionic testers that removes contaminants? Why does it not also remove the alcohol and just make plain DI?
