If the boards needs to be marked more than once, does the ink need to come off? If it does, what are you going to use to remove it, chisel? Sorry, it is Friday. Make some Brady type of labels and attach them to the boards. The ink will not come off. Once you completed the assembly peel the labels off. The labels come in many sizes, some are very small. If you do not have a machine, you can order them from companies that do. There is no such thing as a one component room temperature fast cure epoxy. By definition it couldn't exist. Soon as you filled the dispense applicator up, it would start curing. If you want to go down the epoxy trail here are your options: * Use a two part epoxy fast (short pot life) room temperature cure system . * There are one component refrigerated epoxies that will cure at room temperatures but they may not be as fast as you want. * Use a one part epoxy that has a fast bake cycle If you can't bake, don't want to mess around with two components or refrigeration, my choice would be: * A one part U/V curable system. They cure virtually instantaneously with a U/V light source. A little pricey, but if it does what you want it to that's the cost of business. There are epoxies, acrylics, silicones and cyanoacrylates. Check with Loctite and Dymax for products. However taking it one step further I would investigate one component U/V curable marking inks or soldermask and forget about the epoxy. Regards Michael Barmuta Staff Engineer Fluke Corp. I am looking for a way to mark FR4 (on the dge) CCA's to indicate operations have been performed, but everything I have tried washes off in the inline cleaner. We are using a Kyzen A4520 at 15% concentration 125F and everything we try comes off. So our last resort is to go with single part fast cure epoxy and hopefully be able to get it in different colors and in a form that allows us to put it on quickly and easily. Please help obi whan kenobie your my only hope. Its almost Friday - getting a little excited. Thanks in advance. Chris Schaefer Suntron Corporation Process Engineer 540 N.
