We've had one SJ failure because of inadequate solder fill up through the PTH. We'd like to determine whether this is an isolated problem, or whether the spacer might be impeding solder flow. Of course, we don't have any boards to sacrifice, and we can't see anything with direct transmission x-ray because the connector is in the way. Anyone know of a lab somewhere nearby that offers scan beam laminography service? FeinFocus has CT capability systems that might fit your needs. Give them a try.
