-----Original Message----- From: Byram, Jody L Sent: Wednesday, September 28, 2005 3:36 AM Apply the label in a portion of the CCA that is all at the same potential, in an area where it is surrounded by components . At 25kV, electric field even on the edge of the label can become a concern if there is ground potential "nearby" (i.e. within 2 or 3 inches or so). Ink marking is also OK, again as long as it is done on a copper plane. Resistist the temptation to mark in the 3 inch wide "no-man's-land" between 25kV and ground, because that is where the fields are the highest. Marking on the inside edge of a corona ring (if used) is also a possibility. Inside shielded edge, not the outside surface of course.
