Most brushes I have seen were either attached with a rivet, or the wire was cast directly into the brush. -----Original Message----- From: TechNet [mailto:[log in to unmask]] On Behalf Of Indrek Rebane Sent: Tuesday, August 09, 2005 10:58 AM To: [log in to unmask] Subject: Re: [TN] (OT) A soldering question, but not PCB Hi, John Burke wrote: > I guess this was an environmental question (compost generation?), so > maybe you should have posted it on the lead free > network.............8-) More like in EnviroNet. However, going back to question. I consider it quite suitable for TechNet. I too have wondered how a good heat and shock resistant contact can established between graphite and copper. Till now I have used mechanical clamp terminals, which would become unpractical with small devices. Due to high currents, conductive epoxy falls out. There is a possibility to use electroplating, but I have not tried it yet. So does anyone know any other good methods for forming a firm bond between graphite and copper?
