However, we have 19 different products with the prefix "Iridite" - most of them depend on the color of the conversion coating desired. I know the standard terminology is to specify "Iridite" seems to cover corrosion resistant aluminum (and other metals). However, that term should be followed by a number, as different "Iridite"s have different salt spray ratings. Also, the newer "Iridite"s are chrome 6 free, but probably based on chrome 3 materials. I wish that there were a simple answer - the best is to contact me, or a company representative off line - as Rudy suggests.
