And I remember the fine print stating that flammable liquids were NOT a good idea. -----Original Message----- From: TechNet [mailto:[log in to unmask]] On Behalf Of Roach, David Sent: Tuesday, July 05, 2005 9:43 AM To: [log in to unmask] Subject: Re: [TN] Ultrasonic Cleaner At a previous job we used Branson benchtop ultrasonic cleaners for cleaning read-write heads for disk drives. I don't remember the model numbers, but it was similar to the one you mentioned, but we didn't have the heaters. They were larger, probably a 1 or 1.5 gallon model. We had several of these, but probably only ran them only a couple of hours total per day. We never had a problem with them. Remember to not run them without being filled with water or another liquid, as that will reportedly damage the ultrasonic transducer quickly. It will be removing post-reflow flux residue from stencils and other equipment and will be operating 5-10 hours per day. If anyone has any experience with this model or has a suggestion based on their experience with another brand and model, please let me know. As always, I appreciate whatever feedback I receive.
