Our previous production facility did not have ESD tiles, so we used the ESD floor wax. However, it is not as effective as the tiles are in our newer facility. Don't rely too heavily on the wax, you must have other safeguards in place - properly connected and verified wriststraps and static mats, humidity control, and possibly ESD smocks... Multiple layers of protection, as well as well-educated employees regarding proper handling procedures is the best way to ensure good protection. -----Original Message----- From: Ofer Cohen [mailto:[log in to unmask]] Sent: 21-Jun-05 11:09 AM To: [log in to unmask] Subject: Re: [TN] ESD flooring Must be ESD tiles, with metallic or carbon fibers that must be connected between the tiles and the building ground to create a conductive path (through high resistance for safety and decay time). Does flooring tile have to be ESD tile or can you just wax over tile with ESD wax?
