Barbara- Lots of good feedback already on this post. Just want to stress that the environment your assembly is in will be VERY important. We coat most everything (automotive) and the coating used is usually a compromise of what the application can live with and what the CEM is willing to put in their equipment. We've seen silicone coatings introduce problems over time due to outgasses from the coating reacting with other materials in the overall assembly. Seen acrylic coatings that were eaten up by the type of grease used elsewhere, etc., etc... We need to mask off 3 connectors and coat everything else. I have some information on a product called Parylene applied by Parylene Coating Services, Inc. in Katy, Texas.
