my understanding of flash gold is electrolytic plated with 5-8 u-inches on
electrolytic or electroless Ni.
The ENIG is electroless Ni and immersion gold finishing.  The gold quality
normally is inferior than the flash electrolytic gold... but, dissolution
rate in solder may be a bit slower compare to the ENIG of same thickness....
All the ENIG guys is going to shot me alive....

Flash gold is too general of a term. If you are to solder to the thinner
gold successfully it must be less than 20 uin.
