Question: How often do those of you using a nitrogen atmosphere in your SMT
reflow ovens have the nitrogen flow (and/or nitrogen content of the oven
atmosphere) checked? The question just came up from a sister site of ours.
We would like to see if there is a defacto standard (or general consensus)
for doing this on a specified periodic basis. I would also like to add it to
our list of process control measures.

And, if/when you do this test, do you have the nitrogen supplier perform it,
or do you use your own test gear, or ?????

Anyone care to offer an opinion, quote a process standard in this regard or
offer some detail about this activity?

Thanks!
