Hello Joe, I agree with everything that has been said so far. The IPC-4101 'Specification for Base Materials for ..." 'Table 2 Copper Foil Weight and Thickness' page 2, gives actual numbers. IPC-6012 "Qualification and Performance Spec. ..." 'Table 3-7, and Table 3-8', page 14, gives standardized terms. The German (Deutsche) Part Prints that I have worked with simply state the thickness(mm). (i.e.. '0,035mm Cu')= 0.001,377"Cu= equiv. to 0.0014" (approx.)= 1oz.= 35 micron. Good luck Joe.
