With all respect, the devotion of TNs is heartbreaking, but can't send offline to all, plz go to: http://www.residues.com/ and have a fishbone copy there. Sara Gorcos was so sweet and pulled me up before I drowned..tx my friend. If I had an idea about the appetite, I'd reorganized the bone before presentation, in my opinion it's not quite streamlined...e.g. the 'adhesive' branch in the diagram, only two parameters. I would like to add some more, for instance: curing, wetting, compatibility with FR4, crimping tensions, hardness, solubility, solvent residues, joint geometri, time to maximum adhesion, UV absorbation, heat resistance, use of primer, water absorption factor and on and on.....a whole diagram on it's own (I would ask Graham to make it complete)..so, perhaps one could use the wishbone diagram as a starter, and then go to the main meals and finish with a nice dessert. If I get time, I'll make a try.. Enough about this topic. Ingemar Hernefjord Ericsson Microwave Systems PS. The administrator's eye may have seen the little play with consonants, 'f' is changed to 'w' in fishbone. I'll be punished for 'wittying', but it was worth the risk! -----Original Message----- From: TechNet [mailto:[log in to unmask]]On Behalf Of Karen Walters Sent: den 18 augusti 2004 20:16 To: [log in to unmask] Subject: Re: [TN] Most common PCB failure modes Please send me a copy also off line. Pauls Sent: Monday, August 16, 2004 2:02 PM To: [log in to unmask] Subject: [TN] thin film Good day all, I am in need of a recommendation for a thin film sealant material. I need it to be 15-20 mils thick, cuttable, and preferrably non silicone. We have considered the Sil-Pad technology, but as this will be used in a vacuum seal operation, I am concerned about silicone outgassing or cross contamination. Are there any thin gasket materials from the engineered rubbers that anyone would recommend?
