Are you plating outter layers or print and etch? If you are plating thicker than 1.2 or 1.3 mils you probably need the 2.0 mil resist. This will of course slow your printing, developing, stripping as well as add to your resist treatment process. If you are print and etch and you are doing small lines and spaces you probably want to go the other way. Even when we plate we do not go to thickness that requires more than 1.5 mil. I have in the past even used multible layers of resist for those extra high platings. chuck brummer Siemens Medical -----Original Message----- From: [log in to unmask] [mailto:[log in to unmask]] Sent: Friday, July 09, 2004 6:39 AM To: [log in to unmask] Subject: [TN] Dry Film Good Friday to all. We've used 1.5mil dry film for quite a while but now our supplier tells us EVERYONE has switched to 2.0mil. If we choose to continue with the 1.5 we need to place our order 3-4 weeks in advance. Am I just behind the curve here or is it time to shop for better service? Thanks. --------------------------------------------------- Technet Mail List provided as a service by IPC using LISTSERV 1.8e To unsubscribe, send a message to [log in to unmask] with following text in the BODY (NOT the subject field): SIGNOFF Technet To temporarily halt or (re-start) delivery of Technet send e-mail to [log in to unmask]: SET Technet NOMAIL or (MAIL) To receive ONE mailing per day of all the posts: send e-mail to [log in to unmask]: SET Technet Digest Search the archives of previous posts at: http://listserv.ipc.org/archives Please visit IPC web site http://www.ipc.org/contentpage.asp?Pageid=4.3.16 for additional information, or contact Keach Sasamori at [log in to unmask] or 847-509-9700 ext.5315 ----------------------------------------------------- --------------------------------------------------- Technet Mail List provided as a service by IPC using LISTSERV 1.8e To unsubscribe, send a message to [log in to unmask] with following text in the BODY (NOT the subject field): SIGNOFF Technet To temporarily halt or (re-start) delivery of Technet send e-mail to [log in to unmask]: SET Technet NOMAIL or (MAIL) To receive ONE mailing per day of all the posts: send e-mail to [log in to unmask]: SET Technet Digest Search the archives of previous posts at: http://listserv.ipc.org/archives Please visit IPC web site http://www.ipc.org/contentpage.asp?Pageid=4.3.16 for additional information, or contact Keach Sasamori at [log in to unmask] or 847-509-9700 ext.5315 -----------------------------------------------------
