Take care for the stresses that occur during the mini PCBs separation, the ceramic components should be far enough from the V Groove line. The keep-put area is ~ .300"+ as the blades have a transition as they jump in and out. Using a v-score web over tabs with perforation holes is a good pallet design that is easy to work with. With this technique you can have thinner webs, while keeping the stiffness of the panel. Daan Terstegge Thales Communications Unclassified mail Personal Website: http://www.smtinfo.net >>> [log in to unmask] 06/10/04 09:20pm >>> I have been given a v-groove score keep out area dimension of 1mm from the edge of the groove to the component body; except the dimension becomes 5mm for ceramic components. 5mm seems like a very large value. Does anybody have experience with this? Is it really necessary to keep ceramic components that far from a v-groove score? Thanks.
