As for the individual who sent you that message: First - this is voluntary input and it is both insulting and unacceptable to criticise others when much of the input is done out of normal working hours - if any of us understand what those might be. Second - I dare say that most of us get out far more than we put in, and that is to the benefit of the employer - and I employ more than 40 and encourage their participation in both the TechNet and our UK SMART Group forum. Third - To refer to someone as an idiot is best done via email or telephone, as such a person would doubtlessly not have the gall to say it to your face - and if they did, then you have the perfect chance to respond in whatever manner best suits the situation.
