Any oven that deals with flammables needs to be vented and explosion
proof. To make ovens explosion proof, the manufacturers seal an extra vent
with a breakable material on the back of the oven so that in the case of an
explosion the gas goes towards the back and not hurt any one. Two cents on
safety.
