Hi Technos, "our designs are perfect, lead-free is a manufacturing problem"... Does this sound familiar to you? Well, I got to hit this wall, me too. Our product developpers don't really feel like they should hop into this train. There are 2 things I would like to ask you: * what ammo (technical, of course) should I use to change their minds * besides deciding on a suitable alternative finish of the PCB, higher Tg FR4, picking the right components, is the intimate design of the PCBs affected by the Pb-free? I mean, different land patterns, clearances, via technologies, etc.? What about solder masks and marking inks? Any clue would be largely appreciated.
