The >27 inches of mercury is preferred and the closer you can get to 100degC the better. Remember that in a vacuum you should get minimal if any oxidation. We used to do this overnight but work I’ve read indicates that 2 hours is minimal.

Hello Fellow Technets,
I have been asked to research baking out populated FR-4 type circuit boards at lower temperatures using a vacuum oven. I do not have any info on baking boards under a vacuum and what the considerations need to be, or how much vacuum is required. Any help will be appreciated. thanks
