We need XY data, rotation, reference designator, fid data and a BOM file to merge the placement file to the BOM file. I would like to get which side it is on top or bottom for double sided boards. Extras such as board length, width and thickness are bonus. I need to input that info to make the program. Dave C. -----Original Message----- From: Sauer, Steven T. Understanding that each placement machine requires a data translator (i.e. CIMbridge) to provide a friendly data format for ease of programming and setup, but what is the preferred data format that you require from your customers? One other question: Is there a preferred industry accepted standard data format? The reason for my question is that we have multiple suppliers and are attempting to get our CAD folks in tune with our CMs needs. Thanks in advance for your inputs.
