At any board shop that I have dealt with, it has been standard practice to examine the Gerbers for things like this and remove them from their "working files" so they don't end up on your board. The only real way to remove it once it is cured is to scrape it...with a razor knife or similar tool...if you don't go down to the copper you should not have too bad a problem...also, if there is not too much on there it will flow away when the solder melts... If it does not interfere with component placement I'd say just leave it alone...and tell your board supplier to get a better grip next time...
