We have started getting a lot of components, especially from Japanese
suppliers that are providing components in lead-free lead frame packages.
We have not seen any issues with them in a normal tin/lead soldering
process. We have not made any adjustments to the process because of them.

Subject: [TN] Lead free components

Hi,

Some of our suppliers are giving notices that they will no longer ship their
components with lead, and have given us a date of when this will happen. My
question is how does the lead free components solder with 63/37 solder?
What changes will we have to make with lead free components? Can you run
with mixed components?

What's the word about lead free, when does everyone think we will have to go
100% lead free in the United States?

Thanks,

Jim
