Robert, To quote "Mountain Dew" Doug; it depends.For our Aerospace applications,we require a minimum of 0.025 inches from edge of PWB to any internal conductive entity.Given a 0.015 inch profile tolerance,based on a basic outline dimension(max),the minimum design distance would be 0.040 inches. For external requirements it would be 0.075 inches.This allows for processing(fixturization,depanelization,testing) with a 0.060 inch minimum and the 0.015 profile tolerance.
