Hello, I've got some bare boards (.062 thick, double sided, LPI, HASL) that appear to have "solder smear" on them. That is, random areas of what certainly appears to be solder adhered to the soldermask in areas where there aren't pads or traces. I sent a couple samples back to the boardhouse, and they believe it is a burnishing of the mask from contact pressure, not an area of a thin solder coating as we believe it to be. What test method should I use to verify what we are seeing?
