The use of HTML and RTF in technet, has resulted in two things:

*The size of the digest has risen dramatically, with no increase in content.

* Many of the postings are completely unreadable.

There are *many* readers who do not have HTML enabled mail software. Not
everyone uses Microsoft Outbreak.

It's a shame that TechNet has chosen to join the tiny minority of mailing lists
that accepts HTML posts, and will/has driven off many users who either
CANT read the posts with their company supplied mail readers, or
refuse to wade through the screenfulls of junk that saturates the digest.
