Steve, I gather your "bid" dept. just needs to look at the incoming data to determine pricing, etc. I use Adobe Acrobat to generate PDF's of each Gerber layer and drill drawing/print for this purpose: can you get your customers to start sending PDF's to you? Note the readily available "Reader" does not do this, you need to purchase the full Acrobat or at least the Distiller which includes a PDFWriter "printer" driver. There are also free PDF generators available if you can put up with the ads.
