We did
the same thing about 2 years ago. We switched to Alpha Metals Lonco 373
for our foam fluxer in the wave solder. Works great, just slowly eats away
at everything as OA (WS) flux will do.
For
hand solder we switched to Alpha Metals Aqua-Line 6000, 63/37, 3% solids
flux. Also use Alpha Metals 870-25, liquid flux for stubborn parts or
reworks. Both work well, but need all traces of flux removed before
shipping. We wash in a closed loop DI water batch
cleaner.
Keep
in mind that your solder wick will need to change too. There is no OA
braid on the market, so you're stuck with plain braid and liquid flux or
no-clean flux braid.
In
hind sight, there are applications where keeping old rosin flux (Kester Core 44
is what we had) or no-clean flux core solder on hand for those spots where
uncleaned OA flux might pose a problem is a good idea. The trick becomes
managing the proper use of the materials and not mixing RA with OA
chemistries.

I am looking at
changing from RMA to a WS flux for wave solder and possibly hand
solder.. Just wondering if anyone has recommendations they could share
offline. I would like to narrow down the number of possibles to try.
Some
considerations
Foam fluxer,
changing this is not an option at this time.
In line aqueous
cleaning. With or without saponifier.
Prefer water based
but not a major consideration.
