Can anyone tell me what PCB design parameters would drive the use of Hysol SR1000 or SR1001 for use as solder mask on a PCB? Why would it be specified for a specific design over other solder masks? Is there some special reason for specifying it? Does it have some special property that would make it preferable to LPI? I can't seem to locate a data sheet on it to evaluate its properties.

Optic cable
Sounds like somebody has been watching to much Star
Trek. Next we will have 'Bio-Gell Packs". I heard copper cable
can transmit power pretty well. The application may not be to far-fetched
if you wanted to get power to an under-sea amplifier and the IR loss from
copper was to high. But I wonder if you are violating the Second Law of
Thermodynamics here?

Is anyone out there doing this...
Has anyone worked with or heard of a process for transmitting power over a
fiber-optic cable?
I believe the theory behind this is to transmit light over a cable and then
convert it to power via a photovoltaic cell or something similar.
I need to respond to a question on a proposal on this subject today.
If you have any information on this topic, please let me know.
Thanks,
Rob
