I ran into the same situation with ICT. We were looking into moving a piece of equipment from a sister division, and were told by the company rep that we would have to pay the software license fees, even though our sister division had already paid those fees, since we were essentially a separate company. The equipment stayed where it is. Blair Hogg QA Manager GAI-Tronics Corp. >>> [log in to unmask] 06/11/03 08:04AM >>> Hi Steve In the PCB bussiness its just as bad or worse, we started to get the same fees and a sharp rise in spare parts prices and service charges. What to watch for more is the unregistered software. I bought a expensive optical inspection unit 1 year old at a auction, we got sent a letter demanding we not use the machine and were threatened with law suit unless we bought there software licencing fee. The license was four times the price I paid for the machine. The 200k unit now sits in the back room. Expensive lesson.
