(chuckling) First, speaking only of the shop this person is employed with...of them, not for them...we may sell the boards cheap...but the boards are not cheaply fabricated...lets keep that understood...(grin) Second, how did you come across one of our Failure Analysis Procedures anyway??? Is their some espionage going on around here...hmmmm While that method may seem comical to many...truthfully...those type approches to identify causes, effects, conditions, etc... have in my experience provided much valued information... With product in the field...it's usually the jolting, jarring, twisting, pulling, banging against...etc that will cause the failure...so every now and then go ahead and smack a board against the wall...see what falls off...you might learn more about your process that way... And interesting afterthought...we retested samples from a batch of boards that where ran over by a UPS forklift...after falling off of one of their suspended conveyors...20 feet to the ground...scattered across the wharehouse floor then wrapped up by their employee in shrink-wrap and returned to us as-is a week later...they soldered well also...yes...I was a little bored that day...and curious...
