There are many types of Endo scopes on the market today- also, there are prisms and mirrors to look under components. Depending on the price range some units are just a fancy scope with frame grabber software to units with cool Euro designs and sophisticated analytical software. Regardless it is what meets you needs. If you are looking for a go/no go system the cheaper maybe better route. If you are in a lab environment/ high Rel then the higher end unit may pay for itself. We split the difference and went with a middle of the road Endo scope and took the extra money and went with a 70kv xray system. Going this route cost us around $40K. I like the Ersa Scope as they are the Pioneer with this technology. But went the $ route and am pleased I did. Regards, Cal Driscoll Communications Test Design, Inc.
