Are these DPAK style components?
If so, you can print paste but, may find it does "droop" out.
What we have found works is to mask of those locations on the
bottom with Kapton tape. Print and reflow. Remove the tape prior
to wash if using OA.

Subject: [TN] Filling PTH with solder

Technet,

What's the best method to solder fill 0.052" PTHs on a single sided SMT pcb
assembly? There are several of them on the board and some will be covered
by the body of large SMT inductors with no standoff.

There is no solder mask on the bottom side and I would not want to create
additional wave process. And on the open PTHs with this size, will stencil
printing create any paste "drooping" through the bottom side?

Rgds,
Peter
