Hi Franklin!

I have had problems with certain dry films not being compatible with Kyzen XJN. But the last time I brought this up, there seemed to be differing opinions about this. Some said that the Dynachem dry film should have stood up to the cleaning.

The only dry film I've had a problem with is Dynachem Dynamask, and a Shipley 5000 series dry film. Shipley bought out Dynachem, so basically both are the same dry film.

After two or three washes in Kyzen XLN, the mask starts flaking off all the copper features. You can see a picture on my page at:

When you see the copper features, and they look oxidized, that's because this board has been sitting around like this for a few years. The copper wasn't oxidized like this when it first happened.

Any of you had experiences with sapponifiers affecting solder mask
integrity?
