If you went to EXPO and saw how much smaller the exhibit area was, or get the fabrication shop auction publications, or have friends calling you looking for work, you would know that at least the fabrication portion of the industry has been declining for several years. If you look at the 90's on the TechNet and the legends of the TechNet like Dave Hoover (aka I think "groovy") you do not see posts from them much anymore. Many had their company disappear and perhaps that is also why the list the list may be shorter. I think my observation is most of the current TechNet relates to assembly now, when it started it had a lot of fabrication content as well as assembly. It would be interesting to know how many of the TechNet had to seek new jobs in the last 5 years, I know I am one of them. Just my thoughts; Ted Edwards Dynaco Corp.
