Hi All, We supply a CofC with each bare board order we ship. It references the main spec called out on the fab drawing or PO (ie. IPC6012 & Class, Govt. or customer spec). It also references "all applicable" specs designated on the drawing or PO. Last week, a customer requested that we add specific references to: A. Conformance of "special processes" (ie. plating) to IPC-6012 B. Conformance of LPI soldermask to IPC-2221 C. Conformance of HASL to IPC-2221 D. Conformance of Comp Legend (silkscreen) to A-A-56032 Type II I have 3 questions: 1. Is it proper to fab & cert to IPC-2221 (a PCB design spec)? 2. Where can I find A-A-56032 ? 3. How specific are other bare board shops when referencing applicable specs on their CofC's ? Many Thanks, Mark Hargreaves --------------------------------------------------- Technet Mail List provided as a free service by IPC using LISTSERV 1.8e To unsubscribe, send a message to [log in to unmask] with following text in the BODY (NOT the subject field): SIGNOFF Technet To temporarily halt or (re-start) delivery of Technet send e-mail to [log in to unmask]: SET Technet NOMAIL or (MAIL) To receive ONE mailing per day of all the posts: send e-mail to [log in to unmask]: SET Technet Digest Search the archives of previous posts at: http://listserv.ipc.org/archives Please visit IPC web site http://www.ipc.org/html/forum.htm for additional information, or contact Keach Sasamori at [log in to unmask] or 847-509-9700 ext.5315 -----------------------------------------------------
