Ants on your boards? Techies,

I am truly sorry for the delay, but I finally managed to find the pictures of the Ant problem discussed earlier.

To refresh memories, there was a question raised about the effects of insects, and whether an insecticide or  a conformal coating would “do the trick”.

As I explained, the essential problem was not with the ants eating the coating, rather it was because they were excreting dilute formic acid that was dissolving the acrylic coating; whereas a polyurethane coating worked.

I will send a picture and a copy of the “approved” press release, to our friend Steve Gregory to put onto his special web site.
