We recently finished a job where one board was 15X23 and another was 15X25, 15 layer with about 15 BGA's on one side. The wave soldering went ok but I did have to make some fixtures to keep the trailing edge from curling up. With boards that long the temp. difference can cause some warpage. Most of which flattens out as the board cools. We did have some residual twist. Not enough to cause any problems as far as we can tell. -----Original Message----- From: Colleen Coccia [mailto:[log in to unmask]] Sent: Tuesday, January 14, 2003 3:05 PM To: [log in to unmask] Subject: [TN] PWA's of substantial size Good afternoon. Does anyone have either current or past experiences manufacturing PWA's of approximately 15.5" x 23.7" with a board thickness of .093" (double-sided)? This may include meeting IPC-A-610 solder requirements, acceptable wave profiles, excessive warpage or handling issues which may contribute to higher costs (outside of the norm) for producing an assembly of this size. Any and all feedback would be gratefully appreciated!
