Hi Colleen.
Your wave profiles, warpage, and handling concerns are partially dependent on the design.
Many .093" boards may use the same or similar profiles. But, ultimately, the profile depends
on the thermal mass of the board and components.

My concerns with a board this large would be as follows:
1. Make sure your conveyors can open up wide enough to handle the board on all machines.
2. If you need a wave fixture, again, make sure the conveyor opens wide enough to handle it.
3. Make sure all machine tables are large enough to handle this size board.
4. You may need a special "work holder" if you have thru-hole parts going on with Universal Equipment.
5. If the board is heavy you may need special assembly fixtures or holders.
6. If there are SMT comps on the bottom, avoid gluing them if possible (or use a glue/paste process.)

Subject: [TN] PWA's of substantial size

Good afternoon.

Does anyone have either current or past experiences manufacturing PWA's of approximately 15.5" x 23.7" with a board thickness of .093" (double-sided)? This may include meeting IPC-A-610 solder requirements, acceptable wave profiles, excessive warpage or handling issues which may contribute to higher costs (outside of the norm) for producing an assembly of this size.

Any and all feedback would be gratefully appreciated!
